No plastic tables or chairs were harmed in the making of this episode.  Fais and Weej discuss over a meal of Fish and Chip [sic] the game-changing Malaysian blockbuster, KL Gangster.  Perhaps it was an unlikely movie to have spawned a successful mega-franchise for its producers, which includes a sequel (KL Gangster 2), spin-off films (Abang Long Fadil 1 & 2) and TV series (KL Gangster: Underworld S1 & S2), as well as launching the film career of Zizan Raja Lawak, catapulting him towards stardom in Bolehwood.  Apart from the usual chat about story structure and themes, we also touch on some darker aspects of the film, from its problematic racial depictions to inappropriate (or likely simply illegal) use of copyrighted music.  Bolehland's Objective Rating: 6.5/10, Contextual Rating: 7/10.  Agree or disagree, feel free to send us your thoughts, comments or questions.  You can reach us at [email protected].  *We do apologise for the inconsistent sound quality as we are still getting used to new recording equipment.
