Xtro is a horror/sci fi film from 1982 directed by Harry Bromley Davenport. It’s a small independent film that has gathered a cult following over the years and we’re about to find out why! WE WOULD’VE GOTTEN AWAY WITH IT TOO IF IT WASN’T FOR THESE MEDDLING AMISH! 

Harrison Ford switches it up in 1985’s Witness directed by Peter Weir. This time he’s a detective undercover in Amish Country protecting a child witness, but there’s also lost treasure, an amish spacecraft and robot androids trying to kill everyone. At least that’s what I think, I haven’t watched it yet.

Akira Kurosawa’s Rashomon came out in 1950 making it one of the oldest films we’ve watched on this podcast but its message of dishonest retelling of events is timeless and more relevant than ever.

THIS MOD IS ABOUT TO ROCK YOUR WORLD!

Franc Roddam’s Quadrophenia is based on The Who’s 1973 rock opera of the same name, despite this, it is not a musical nor does it star The Who. The 1979 British drama does have something to say about being young and hating growing up though. Deep down don’t we all just want to be partying, doing drugs and riding our scooters along the cliffside in dramatic fashion? It’s all part of growing up.
