Sk: V Bratislave sa zbadal Matej, prechádzajúc cez farebne osvetlené námestie, kde prebiehalo vianočné trhy.
En: In Bratislava, Matej found himself walking through the brightly lit square where the Christmas markets were taking place.

Sk: Bielo prachový sneh jemne padal na zem a vytváral čarovnú atmosféru.
En: White powdery snow was gently falling to the ground, creating a magical atmosphere.

Sk: Vzduchom sa niesla vôňa pečených gaštanov a varené víno sa rozlievalo z pohárikov šťastných návštevníkov.
En: The air was filled with the scent of roasted chestnuts, and mulled wine was being poured from the cups of happy visitors.

Sk: Matej sa necítil byť súčasťou tohto veselého spevu.
En: Matej did not feel part of this cheerful singing.

Sk: Po rokoch sa vracal do svojho rodného mesta, s túžbou obnoviť staré priateľstvá, hľadajúc pocit domova, ktorý mu teraz tak chýbal.

Sk: Tibor, neustále veselý kamarát, sa pridal: "Páni, konečne zas všetci spolu.
En: Tibor, their always cheerful friend, joined in: "Wow, finally all together again.

Sk: Chýbali si nám!
En: We missed you!"

Sk: "Napriek radosti z opätovného stretnutia, ticho medzi nimi po chvíli narastalo.
En: Despite the joy of their reunion, a silence between them grew after a while.

Sk: Matej v tom momente vedel, že je čas čeliť všetkému, čo zanechal neuzatvorené.
En: Matej knew at that moment that it was time to face everything he had left unresolved.

Sk: Navrhol teda Janine: "Poďme sa prejsť, Jana.
En: He suggested to Jana, "Let's go for a walk, Jana.

Sk: Potrebujeme si pohovoriť.
En: We need to talk.

Sk: Tibor, pridaj sa.
En: Tibor, join us."

Sk: "Tibor zamrkal, uštipol Mateja do ramena a povedal: "Než sa do toho ponoríme, pamätáte si tú srandu z našich školských čias?

Sk: Ten vtípek na učiteľa fyziky, ktorého si Matej presvedčil, že školou prechádzajú duchovia?

Sk: "To uvoľnilo atmosféru a zrazu sa všetci traja smiali.
En: This lightened the mood, and suddenly all three were laughing.

Sk: No potom sa rozhovor stočil k vážnym temám.
En: But then the conversation turned to serious matters.

Sk: Matej otvoril dvere do minulosti: "Jana, dlžím ti ospravedlnenie.

Sk: Opustil som vás bez slova, hnaný kariérou.

En: I'm sorry."

Sk: "Jana, spočiatku zdržanlivá, nakoniec prelomená zložitými emóciami odpovedala: "Bolo to ťažké.

Sk: Ale pochopila som, že každý z nás hľadá svoje šťastie.
En: But I understood that each of us is searching for our own happiness."

Sk: "Tibor ich sledoval s úľavou, keď si obaja konečne začali rozprávať.
En: Tibor watched them with relief as they finally started to talk to each other.

Sk: Konflikt kulminoval v odhalenie pravdivých pocitov a starých krívd.
En: The conflict culminated in revealing true feelings and old grievances.

Sk: No práve táto otvorenosť priniesla pokoj.
En: Yet it was this openness that brought peace.

Sk: Nakoniec traja kamaráti opustili trh, bok po boku, s plánmi na spoločné trávenie nadchádzajúceho Vianoc.
