The lads talked to Professor Roland Baron from Harvard University. Roland has played a key role in characterising bone signalling pathways that govern bone formation and contributed to developing new treatments that increase cell signalling to improve bone mass.
Roland is a co-founder and chair of the International Federation of Musculoskeletal Research Societies supporting our community and helping young scientists from the entire world to develop and support people living with osteoporosis.

The lads talk to Dr Friederike Schulte about exciting research which shows that mechanical loading potentiates the effect of anabolic treatments for osteoporosis, leading to bigger gains in bone mass and strength. Friederike also spoke to us about her role in public outreach as a Co-Founder at the Swiss Fall Prevention Center.
