We're continuing our "Musical Identity" series by warming up our pipes and belting out choruses over timpanis. That's right, it's time to talk about the original Dark Souls soundtrack! We hit firsts and worsts, talk about the composer's history, and even discuss how appropriate it is (or isn't) to conceive of the rhythm of Souls combat in musical terms.

The last item on our grocery list is a stinky stone found at the very bottom of Ashina, in Mibu Village. To get here, we have to cast ourselves out, and learn a little bit about the cosmic forces masquerading in our world to spread the rejuvenating waters.

FromSoft announced a new game a couple of weeks ago, and we decided to record an Appendix episode about it. We expound on the little we know about Elden Ring, and offer up our hopes and concerns for the new title.

Last week we rescued Kuro and learned of our greater quest: to find a way to sever his immortality. One of the ingredients we need is a blade which can kill the unkillable, the Mortal Blade, which means we've got to go to Senpou Temple.

This episode covers the entire Senpou Temple path, through the Abandoned Dungeons and into Mt. Kongo, culminating in the boss fight against the Folding Screen Monkeys.
