The gods of Asgard have protected the Nine Realms of Yggdrasil since time immemorial. Thor, God of Thunder and Prince of Asgard, has refused the throne from his aging father Odin in order to personally protect the nine realms. But the return of an ancient figure from Asgard's dark past forces Thor to re-evaluate his responsibilities to Asgard, the source of his power, and the very foundations of his kingdom.
