There was an assassination attempt on the life of Donald Trump, the 45th president of the United States, over the weekend at a Pennsylvania rally. In today's podcast, I cover the immediate fallout in the 24 hours since the rally, from the media admonishing a wounded Trump for not "turning down the temperature" with political rhetoric to who actually raised the temperature in the first place. I also discuss why it's a pretty mainstream belief on the left that this event was either staged or us being an inch from preserving our sacred democracy.
