A few weeks ago, Megan Hillyer from the Modern Genealogy Podcast interviewed me about a genealogy project that's dear to my heart! I wanted to share the experience with my own listeners, and she graciously agreed to repost the episode here, to The Certain Woman Podcast.

I've been helping my grandfather transcribe and edit a book containing the romantic letters between his mother and father during the Great Depression. As I transcribed the letters, these two people, who I previously had very little actual connection to, became real to me, as if I had known them. It's been a beautiful experience of getting to know and love my ancestors, and perform this act of preservation for them and my grandfather.
