After a major medical trauma at the birth of her second child, Brooke was experiencing a moment of physical crisis. Her lungs could not oxygenate, and she was on a helicopter being flown to a more equipped hospital. With no previous experience in meditation, she instinctively turned to Christ as a way to stabilize her mind and body and gain control during an out of control situation.

Years later, when she began practicing meditation and mantra recitation regularly, she understood that it had literally saved her life. The power that our minds have over our physical state is astonishing, and not very widely understood.
