Josephine Lau interviews Minni Matikainen on the meanings and ways of doing peer mentoring during doctoral studies. As a case example, Minni describes RETEE (Researchers in Education and Teacher Education at the University of Jyväskylä ry), which is an association for doctoral and post doctoral researchers. Minni was one of the founding members of RETEE and tells how and why RETEE was established and how it works. The importance of building a community, making a difference at higher level and helping each other doing our research are discussed.
