Hey Carpool Crew! Whether you’re zipping up your new backpack or licking syrup off your fork—I’m Pastor Justin, and I’m so glad you’re here for this special Saturday episode of Carpooling with Jesus.
Today, we’re flipping the idea of greatness upside down—just like Jesus did. You’ve probably heard things like, “Be the best this year!” But Jesus says something way better: Be someone who serves.
In Mark 10:45, Jesus tells His disciples:
“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve…”
That means the greatest person isn’t the one with the biggest trophy—it’s the one who helps without needing applause.

What happened when James and John asked for top seats in heaven
How Jesus redefined greatness in His Kingdom
Simple ways you can serve others at home, school, or anywhere—even if no one sees
✨ Holding the door.
✨ Clearing the table.

All of it counts in God’s eyes.
Bottom line: You don’t have to be the best to be great.
