We read and studied the Church’s “guide to the scriptures” on the Prophet, seer, revelator, Joseph Smith, which is the basic view of how Joseph Smith is seen in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Now, we are looking at JOSEPH SMITH this season, what he thought about himself, and what the church teaches and sings about him. This is the kicking off point for the Joseph smith section.

Thank you for listening so far, and we will be looking at the Prophet of Mormonism [as in, the movement that spawned this church and the FLDS, RLDS (community of Christ), and other splinter groups], Joseph Smith Junior. We will start looking at the entire history of Joseph, what he had to say about himself, and what other people had to say about him in that time period.

This is the very basics of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, we could have looked into it so much more, but we didn't for a reason, and that is because we will soon.

There are two types of cannons, the written one, that is to say, the Bible, Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covanents and the Pearl of Great Price. Theres the triple Combination (BOM, D&C, PoGP) and the Quad (BIBLE + TRIPLE COMBINATION). and the things that the leaders speak.

In an announcement of the church, the First Presidency had announced that the church will allow changes to the Garments of the Holy Priesthood for members in hot and humid places.

What are the earliest testimonies of the Book of Mormon and what do they say? We look at the Testimonies of the 3, the 8, and the prophet Smith who founded the church.

I have 3 main questions about this though, in relation to Joseph Smith’s testimony.

1. ​why did it take him 8 years to write this testimony down?
2. ​What is the “indigent circumstances of my father’s family” that Joseph writes about?
3. ​And; according to the Bible teachings, Satan can appear as an angel of light for, “Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.” (See: 2 Corinthians 11:14), how do we know as non-members that the Angel Moroni is actually from God, and not Satan in disguise?

I hope we can have a good conversation about this as we would like to know, especially me. This may be how I am, as the tag like suggest, have “reconciliation to the true church”.
