I have a bunch of fun life news to share with you all. Also 2017 starts my year of exploring 12 different designers. The first designer I picked for this year is Veera Valimaki. Book This Week: Better Than Before by Gretchen Rubin

It's my husband's birthday and so we decided to record together on a Saturday night for fun. There is a ton of laughter. I am a complete goober and even spill juice all over myself at one point.

As the end of the year approaches, I am thinking about gifts for my kids' teachers. I'm also thinking I should have started these sooner. So quick knits are perfect for the times when you need 8 gifts to be finished knitting in only a couple of days.

My Etsy shop Open Skies Yarn will be having some new skeins going up this week. The shop will be on vacation for a bit starting Dec. 17th when my kids get off for winter break.

I have finished my green apple dress for my daughter. I'm currently working on two pairs of socks, two cowls, and mittens. This week's spinning has been some pink fiber from Rock and String. I have enabling for a prize for the sparkle KAL. The book this week is The Christmas Train by David Baldacci.

I hope everyone has had a great two weeks. Since this episode is going up late because uploading the higher quality video takes so much longer, I will be adding the show notes tomorrow (on YouTube only).

This week I finished my Spindrift shawl by Helen Stewart out of Upon a Corgi yarn in the Nia color. I also finished some socks for my son out of Undead yarn in the Children of the Cornflower color. I am currently working on a Weather the weather by Meagan Williams hat out of Spartickes dyes in the First Snow color. I finished plying some Into the Whirled 221B color. The book this week is Death of a Pumpkin Carver by Lee Hollis.
