Imperfection is often used as an excuse in Christian circles to avoid real , biblical accountability. Imperfection is a reality that shouldn’t be ignored but it should also not be used as an excuse. Our imperfections should draw us nearer to the One who actually IS perfect, Jesus.

“And He said, “What comes out of a man, that defiles a man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile a man.””

My prayer is for God to rid our hearts from anything that defiles us, so that we may walk in relationship with Him and in fullness of life to be able to carry out His will for our lives for His glory.

The validity of the gift of tongues is often questioned or rejected due to a similar manifestation in other pagan religions. However, we must keep in mind that since the introduction of sin into creation, one of the devil’s strategies has been to counterfeit and pervert the things that God has created. In this episode we explore two examples in Scripture that serve as proof of this. My prayer is that this episode prompts the listener to study Scripture for themselves and seek God for the wisdom in how to interpret and apply this. Another desire is that the listener may be open to experience this gift in their lives for the glory of God.

The topic of tongues has been a highly debated topic throughout recent church History. In this episode we respond to a challenge for charismatics posed by Todd Friel from the Wretched channel. We touch upon the importance of reading Scripture in context and letting the Bible interpret itself by examining and comparing different texts within it. We also go over the difference between a cessationist and a continuationist viewpoint and how these may affect the way that different people within the body interpret Scripture when it pertains to the subject of tongues. My hope is that as you listen you’re encouraged to study the Scriptures by yourself and invite the Holy Spirit to help you to faithfully and accurately interpret them.

I believe that speaking about God’s holiness can be a challenge many times because we are limited by our humanity when attempting to describe the Indescribable. He is perfectly pure and perfectly Holy which means that He is completely set apart and superior to any being in the universe. Since He is holy, God has called us to be set apart for Him and calls us to walk in purity of heart and this goes beyond just our sexuality. This of course, is only possible through the dwelling of the Holy Spirit in us. Join me in this crucial conversation and in this journey to walk in purity and be set apart from the world.
