I’m Michael Welch. I’m the author and creator of Boom -Boom the Bass Drum. For this first podcast, I thought, I should offer a text and audio description of Boom-Boom, and, what this podcast will offer. I became a professional musician in 1967, at the age of 17. Currently age 71, I still play the drumset and enjoy music. In 2007, I accepted a teaching position at a Central Florida Day-Care education provider/school. I taught early learners as infants 6 months, 1-year-old toddlers through age 5. I retired from my 5 day a week classroom gig in 2020. In 2010, I started authoring a music curriculum for kids, homeschool parents, and day care providers. This is a 10-book curriculum called Young Mozart Music Station. I currently offer this for free. (I’ll include a link below this text) There are also many MrMikesMusicMats for free. This originally sold for several hundred dollars on Amazon. I’ve decided to offer this as a philanthropic outreach to the world. Scripture says that charity is a good thing. In 2021, Boom-Boom is my production priority. Now in my 70s, I don’t have the energy as before, but I’m motivated to continue my goals to share my projects. These include a current work in progress called, Blues Swing Rock & Roll. This will be a Boom-Boom project that includes a paperback book and kids songs. These classic songs, “Wheels On The Bus” and more will be played in the style of Blues Swing Rock & Roll. Boom Boom loves music and it’s creative history. Jazz Swing and Rock & Roll were created here in the USA. If you will visit the official Boom Boom web site, you’ll see there are many books available. These include music, math, reading and general early learner education. Boom Boom loves to offer his books as traceable coloring books. Kids love to color. When technology allows, Boom Boom will offer free downloads of his books and music. Video and audio lessons are also on Boom Boom’s web site. Before my classroom retirement, kids got a look at Boom Boom. They loved his many character faces. He also has many voices he’ll be using for his Boom Boom songs; play along Boom Boom beats and more. I’m sure I’ll be updating my introductory audio description, I always do. I’ll be standing offstage watching as Boom Boom takes charge.
