Welcome to 2021!

So here we are, with a mix of hope, tenacity, determination, commitment and still a healthy dose of optimism with which to navigate through the coming months.

We've all had to bring our inner resources to the fore.  Even during 2020 many of the women over 50 who I support continued to start or grow their own businesses, which was amazing to see.  Some even had their best year ever which I was really chuffed about.

And now, here we are, once again, having our entrepreneurial spirit tested.  We are continuing to prove that we are made of strong stuff, we're continuing to prove we can handle these challenges and even better than that, find inspiration and opportunities within the many limitations imposed on us.

I'm delighted to share my interview with Rachael Troughton with you.  Rachael has led an interesting life as an Army Officer's wife turned entrepreneur.  In this podcast she reveals. her journey, her optimism,  her thoughts and enthusiasm, with some unique pearls of wisdom too.

If the last 9 months or so have taught us anything, it's that we have to get on and do.  Now.  It's time to step up and step into who we most want to be, what we most want to do and the future we most want to have,  If that includes becoming the Boss of your own successful business, these podcasts are part of the support from me to you.

Someone once said to me, and I have always remembered it, that daily, time is distributed democratically to all of us. 

Its inequality only results in how we choose to use it. 

I think that’s absolutely spot on don’t you?  It’s astonishing to think that some people make so much of that resource, sometimes throughout their whole lives, while others squander it and achieve very little.  

It’s personal choice of course, but I know what I’d prefer.  Achievement every time!

Regardless of the type of business you run or work for these days you‘ll be trying to squeeze more from less. Time is money and chances are there’s not enough time in the day. 

Your work-life balance can suffer and stress increases and others around you will undoubtedly feel the strain too.
