Then he said, if he finds out someone he’s now working with was involved in the attacks he would ‘kill them himself’. Jerry returns for an update and it’s starting to sound like Pete Alonso is going to miss a decent amount of time. The Mets get swept in Atlanta, losing 13-10 last night in ten innings. Boomer slurps his oatmeal for Gio to celebrate his birthday tomorrow. Jose Ramirez hit 3 homeruns against the Red Sox last night. Jerry Jones tried to compare player negotiations with marriage and it was very confusing. Jerry played the game winning goal for the Panthers as they beat the Golden Knights in OT. Jerry has the audio of Jimmy Dunne on the Golf Channel saying he would kill anyone he’s dealing with if they were involved with 9/11. In the final segment of the hour, last night Las Vegas police responded to calls about aliens falling from the sky. We played news coverage from CBS in Las Vegas.

Hour 2:

Dalvin Cook is set to be released by the Vikings and Gio thinks he will wind up with the Jets. We also took calls on Gio having to go to his daughter’s dance recital. A caller wants Buck Showalter fired, but Gio isn’t sure it’s his fault. The Mets have a ton of underachievers. Jerry returns for an update and starts with audio from last night’s Mets loss to the Braves in Atlanta. The Mets actually had some offense but the pitching was a mess. The Mets had a 10-6 lead and lost 13-10. And what’s going on with Pete Alonso’s wrist? The Yankees split a doubleheader with the White Sox. Luis Severino has now had bad back to back starts. Billy McKinney hit a HR but John Sterling did not have a HR call for him. The Panthers beat the Golden Knights but still trail in the series 2-1. In the final segment of the hour, we took calls offering advice for Gio going to his daughter’s dance recital tonight.

Boomer found a silver lining in Francisco Alvarez finding his groove and hitting 2 more homeruns. The Mets have over $80 million dollars tied up in pitchers that got lit up against your biggest rival. All three starters in this series fizzled. Gio can remember every detail from every terrible Mets loss over the years. Jerry is here for his first update and starts with the Mets blowing a 10-6 lead in Atlanta and losing 13-10 in the tenth inning. Justin Verlander talked about his terrible outing. Hour 1:

The Mets lost to the Braves again last night after having a 4-1 lead. Max Scherzer pitched well in the first part of the game and then got hit all over the ballpark. Daniel Vogelbach continues to do nothing on this team and continues to be in the lineup. No matter how much money the Mets spend, the Braves are always going to be better. We all feel a Braves sweep with Justin Verlander on the mound tonight. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with the Mets in Atlanta. Adam Ottavino gave up the game winning HR. Pete Alonso was hit by a pitch by Charlie Morton and he actually apologized after the game. The Yankees were postponed yesterday due to the air quality so they will play two today. The Tampa Rays have won five in a row now. Gary Sanchez hit another HR for the Padres. Noah Syndergaard had another bad outing for the Dodgers. The Nuggets beat the Heat as Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray had 30 point triple doubles, the first time a duo has done that in NBA history. Zion Williamson was all over social media for bad reasons. After announcing he’s having a baby, a porn star came out and said they were together very recently. Stephen A. Smith reacted to him not playing basketball but having multiple women. Rory McIlroy met the media and talked about the PGA Tour and LIV golf merger. He said he feels like a sacrificial lamb. He still hates LIV. In the final segment of the hour, we took calls from Mets fans who are frustrated with Daniel Vogelbach staying in the lineup. A caller has a Hogan’s Heroes reference which leads us into talking about the troubled life of Bob Crane. 

Hour 2:

Gio watched a lot of the press conferences yesterday in regards to the merger between the PGA Tour and LIV golf. Jay Monahan, Commissioner of the PGA Tour, is out there taking the slings and arrows as he should be. Of course this whole thing came down to money for the PGA. Gio said Bryson DeChambeau sounds like a moron and should stop talking about politics and 9/11. Jerry returns for an update but first Gio does his best Jim Nantz impression of what it might be like now that the PGA Tour and LIV golf have merged. A caller wants to know if Jerry is concerned about the Saudis starting a cornhole league. Jerry starts with audio from Rory McIlroy talking about the merger. The Mets lost again in Atlanta as Adam Ottavino gave up a game winning HR. Max Scherzer pitched great until he didn’t. Pete Alonso left the game early after getting hit with a pitch on his left wrist. The smoke in the area should be improved by Friday. The Nuggets beat the Heat thanks to huge games by Jokic and Murray. Jimmy Butler said the Heat lacked energy and that can’t happen. Chris Paul said kids heckle her kid at school because he never won a championship. Patrick Mahomes’ wife, Brittany, sells her used clothes online and people think it’s weird. In the final segment of the hour, Boomer thinks LIV golf won in all of this, but the PGA Tour was also saved in the process. 

Hour 3:

We have a coffee problem here at WFAN. We are low on supplies and we blame people who make giant cups of coffee in the overnight hours. Or maybe someone is stealing coffee beans. A mailman calls to complain that he has to work in the smoke. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the Mets loss in Atlanta. Pete Alonso was hit with a fastball on his left wrist but said there was no intent. X-rays were negative but he will have a CT scan as well. The Nuggets beat the Heat and take a 2-1 series lead. Jokic and Murray each had 30 point triple doubles, the first time ever that teammates have done that in the same game. Rory McIlroy talked about the merger between the PGA Tour and LIV. Lions Head Coach Dan Campbell said Jared Goff is better here than he was with the Rams. Kyle Shannahan talked about Brock Purdy’s progress. In the final segment of the hour, does Nikola Jokic want to be a big star or does he just want to play basketball and go home? Would he be a bigger star if he wasn’t from Serbia?

Hour 4:

The Mets were very disappointing again last night and tonight’s a big spot to save some face. Starting pitching falls apart in the middle of the game and the bullpen can’t save them. The Mets are an underdog tonight with Justin Verlander on the mound. The Braves and their fans look at the Mets as a fraud and a joke. Daniel Vogelbach is still on the Mets and still in the lineup and nobody understands why. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the Mets losing again in Atlanta even though they were up 4-1. Pete Alonso got hit on the wrist and was removed from the game. Charlie Morton is the guy who hit him and Pete said he apologized to him. The Nuggets beat the Heat and take a 2-1 series lead. Rory McIlroy met the media to talk about the merge of the PGA Tour and LIV. He still hates LIV and still wants them to go away. In the final segment of the hour, we discuss the crazy documentary called ‘The Curious Case of Natalia Grace’. It’s on Discovery+ & Max.
