Gio is having nostalgia for the Knicks/Heat series. We played Big Zoo’s reaction video where he’s singing ‘Go NY, Go NY, Go’. A caller is all about the Knicks and has had enough of the Aaron Rodgers talk. Boomer does not like pastrami and would take boloney, liverwurst or olive loaf over it. A caller wants to know what animal you shoot to get olive loaf. Jerry returns for another update and starts with sound from last night’s Knicks win to send them to the second round of the playoffs. RJ Barrett talked about Obi Toppin stepping up and Josh Hart talked about defending Donovan Mitchell. Knicks fans got together outside the Garden to chant ‘F Phil Jackson’. Giannis said you cannot win every year and it’s not a failure if you don’t win. He also said there are no failures in sports, just good days and bad days. Aaron Rodgers met the media as did Woody Johnson who talked about the culture the coach and GM built to bring Rodgers here. Rodgers was impressed last year when the Jets ‘smoked’ them. The NFL Draft begins tonight and Rangers/Devils game 5 in NJ. The Mets lost again and struck out 15 times. The Yankees finally beat the Twins. Aaron Judge was thrown out at third and hurt his hand but he said he’s fine. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about the upcoming series between the Knicks and Heat and how Jimmy Butler will be a huge factor. A caller is happy Danny Ainge was a douchebag and we didn’t end up getting Donovan Mitchell for the Knicks.

Boomer & Gio are pumped for the Knicks and their fans after beating the Cavaliers in five games. They get the Heat in round two starting Sunday. Boomer is wearing an Aaron Rodgers jersey and is equally excited for Rangers/Devils game 5 tonight in NJ. The Knicks are actually playing defense and it’s paying off in the playoffs. Gio said it’s been embarrassing to be a Knicks fan since the 1990’s but it’s not embarrassing any more. He is proud to be a Knicks fan now. Julius Randle re-injured his ankle last night. Most impressive was the Knicks got contributions from everybody. Gio called it ‘a pinch me morning’. Boomer said Aaron Rodgers needs to turn into Jalen Brunson. Jerry is here for his first update and starts with audio from last night’s Knicks game. Tom Thibodeau talked about the guys that stepped up. Hour 1:

The Islanders are still alive after beating the Hurricanes in Carolina last night. The Knicks have a chance to close it out tonight in Cleveland but most people believe they will win tonight and the Knicks will win in six at the Garden. Boomer wants Julius Randle to get on board and support what the coach wants to do. This is a big spot for Randle tonight. Boomer thinks Donovan Mitchell could go for 40 tonight. Aaron Rodgers will meet the media today at 2pm. Boomer expects big primetime CBS games involving Rodgers. Jerry is here for his first update and starts with Joe Douglas talking about Aaron Rodgers joining the Jets. Mike Francesa said he would have done a great job hosting The Red Zone Channel. Mike also claims to have invented ‘The Witching Hour’. The Yankees lost to the Twins again, so that’s another series lost. The Mets got shutout by the Nationals. The Hawks won in Boston last night thanks to a monster finish by Trae Young. The Islanders won in Carolina, staving off elimination. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about Will Levis supposedly being the number one pick for Carolina. That’s according to an anonymous Reddit post. Gio thinks it will be Bryce Young. 

Hour 2:

It’s early in the season but things are not looking great with the Yankees. The batting averages on the team are pretty terrible. Lots of guys in the 100’s. Aaron Boone tried changing up the lineup but it doesn’t seem to matter. Is the Mets situation worse? Max Scherzer was suspended and we still haven’t seen Justin Verlander. Gio said there’s nothing more frustrating in sports then when your team can’t score. Jerry returns for an update and starts with Joe Douglas talking to the media about the trade for Aaron Rodgers. Rex Ryan was on ESPN and he’s fired up for the Jets and says ‘we’ when referring to the Jets. Adam Schein is all Bing Bonged up for Knicks/Cavs tonight. The Mets were shutout by the Nationals. Buck Showalter won’t use the west coast trip as an excuse for being tired. Justin Verlander is going to make a rehab start Friday. The Yankees lost in Minnesota again.Boone said ‘at bat quality’ was better last night, whatever that means. The Islanders won in Carolina so they stayed alive. In the final segment of the hour, Gio got his new dog yesterday and the person who fostered him called in. He is imploring Gio to keep the dog’s name as Elvis. 

Hour 3:

Aaron Rodgers will meet the media today and Gio wonders what Boomer would ask him if he was there. Boomer would ask about OTAs and spending time with the team. How long will you be here? We took calls from concerned Yankees fans. Jerry returns for an update and starts with audio from Jets GM Joe Douglas talking about the deal for Aaron Rodgers. Donovan Mitchell talked about coming back from being down 3-1. Cleveland radio host Tony Rizzo pretty much saying everything about the Cavaliers sucks. The Yankees have not lost back to back games against the Twins. The Mets got shutout by the Nationals. The Knicks and Cavs play again tonight and the Islanders dodged elimination by beating the Hurricanes in Carolina. In the final segment of the hour, what are the Giants going to do with the draft? Quinnen Williams tweeted a Kermit the frog gif that made it seem like he doesn’t think things are going well with his contract negotiations. 

Hour 4:

It looks like Long Island is going to get a large casino and resort in Uniondale. Boomer is very against this for a bunch of reasons. We discuss and take calls. Gio said like it or not, this will be successful. Jerry returns for an update but first we talked more about the proposed casino resort on Long Island. Jerry goes around the NBA playoffs from last night. The Yankees lost in Minnesota and thus dropped a series to the Twins. The Mets lost their third straight, this time in the series opener to the Nationals. Jusin Verlander is close to joining the Mets. He has one more rehab start to go. The Islanders beat the Hurricanes to stay alive in Carolina. In the final segment of the show, we talked about what we are expecting from the Aaron Rodgers press conference. Gio is going to be locked in on Julius Randle early in the game tonight. They also talked about the Boston Marathon bombing documentary on Netflix.
