Gio is excited as it seems like Rick Pitino will be the next Head Coach at St. Johns. Discussion from the 6 o'clock hour.

Hour 3:

Gio was annoyed by a discussion on ESPN where someone said ‘Aaron Rodgers is the Kyrie Irving of the NFL’. Boomer said the Jets are not giving a number one pick for Aaron Rodgers. We also talked more about the Vikings being a dark horse team for Lamar Jackson. Jerry returns for an update but first we talked more about the Packers not really having an owner. LeRoy Butler was on with TMZ and said Aaron Rodgers may not gel with the Jets. He also said the Jets aren’t going to the Super Bowl. FDU’s magical run is over as they did not make it to the Sweet 16. Rick Pitino will most likely be the next Head Coach at St. Johns. Jerry had audio from Yankee spring training and Team USA for the World Baseball Classic. The Rangers scored six goals in the first period and beat the Predators 7-0. We have audio from C-Lo’s overnight show where he made it seem like Bill Bradley had passed away. In the final segment of the hour, Gio talked about his fishing trip to Florida. He was using his Bobby Approved app to find snacks in Publix when he was down there. We also talked more about the Jets and Aaron Rodgers. A caller is blaming Joe Douglas for ‘putting all his eggs in one basket’. But Gio said he did, and it worked. The Jets are getting Aaron Rodgers. Gio said his friend told him that when he was a kid they would give alka-seltzer to seagulls and they would explode.

Hour 2:

We talked about the World Baseball Classic and the players’ love for the game and to play for their countries. Players said they would rather win the World Baseball Classic for their country than a World Series for their team. There are conflicting reports as to what OBJ wants to join an NFL team. The Jets and Giants still seem to be in the mix for Odell. The Vikings are now rumored to be in the mix for Lamar Jackson, as are the Patriots. Lamar will go live on his YouTube channel to talk about what’s going on with him. Boomer seems like he has something to tell us about the Jets and Aaron Rodgers but he doesn’t want to jinx anything so he’s not sure if he should say anything. Jerry returns for an update but first Boomer says Aaron Rodgers is not wearing 12 because he understands what it means to the Jets. He is also very aware of the finances and says he will do what Brady did with the Bucs, leaving some money on the table for other players. Boomer said Rodgers is going to come here and he’s ‘going to be an assassin’. Jerry starts with audio from the NCAA tournament and the end of FDU’s run. The Nets have now dropped three straight. Brandon Nimmo is feeling better from his ankle/knee injury and hopes to be ready by opening day. Aaron Boone talked about injuries at the WBC. The Rangers scored six goals in the first period and had no problem with the Predators. In the final segment of the hour, Boomer went to the Riptide lacrosse game on Saturday night. He was quite impressed. Boomer did not go on with Peter Schwartz at halftime.

Regarding the Aaron Rodgers situation, Boomer said it’s different with the Packers since they don’t have an actual owner, so there’s nobody for Woody Johnson to call to move it along. Hour 1:

Jerry and Sal are in for Boomer & Gio today. We start with a video that annoyed Sal where players said winning the World Baseball Classic would be better than winning a World Series. Sal thinks this should piss off the fans. C-Lo is here for his first update of the day and starts with Edwin Diaz most likely missing the season with a torn patellar tendon. We heard from Billy Eppler, Justin Verlander and Brandon Nimmo. #15 Princeton upset #2 Arizona. Sal thought Al really went to Princeton when he said he did during the Warm Up Show. Al went to Kean University, not Princeton. #13 Furman upset #4 Virginia. In the final segment of the hour, we talked more about the WBC and how players are choosing their country over MLB, where they actually get their paycheck from. 

Hour 2:

Are the Jets and the Packers at an impasse as far as  compensation goes for Aaron Rodgers? The person who really has all the leverage is Aaron Rodgers. Anthony in Belleville calls in to reference Hulk Hogan since Sal is wearing a Hulk Hogan jacket. We then went into some wrestling talk from the 80s and 90s. A woman calls because she wants Sal to yell at her. C-Lo returns for an update and starts with reaction from the Mets on Edwin Diaz’s season ending injury. Jerry wonders how many games this injury is going to cost the Mets this season. Sal is worried about the Mets. They are loaded on paper, but he’s worried about them. Jerry thinks the Mets will do everything they need to do at the trade deadline. Kodai Senga is locked in on the Mets and not on Japan in the WBC. Princeton upset #2 Arizona and Furman beat Virginia. In the final segment of the hour, Al says he hates St. Patrick’s Day parades, yet he’s wearing a sweatshirt promoting one. 

Hour 3:

The L.A. Clippers had a plane issue as their plane was hit by lightning during the flight. Sal is getting on a plane today so this is not great timing. Sal is going down to see the Mets in Florida. C-Lo returns for an update but first Sal is starting to get worried about getting to JFK for his flight to Florida. Chris Russo said Steve Cohen has ‘Rembrandts in his bathroom’. The Mets will not have to pay Edwin Diaz, as that will be covered by MLB since it happened at the WBC. The Rangers won last night so C-Lo was happy. In the final segment of the hour, a caller is afraid of getting in a plane crash and then getting eaten by a great white shark. 

Hour 4:

Sal says we are less than two weeks away from baseball opening day. Jerry asks Sal about Matt Ryan, as he still seems to be in love with him. C-Lo returns for his final update of the morning and starts with reaction from the Mets on the Edwin Diaz injury. Sal said no way will Jacob de Grom pitch on opening day. Mookie Betts talked about how much fun it is to play for Team USA in the WBC. Kevin Harlan has the call as Furman shocked Virginia. C-Lo has audio of Gweneth Paltrow saying she has used ‘ozone therapy, rectally’. In the final segment of the hour, Rick Allen of Def Leppard gets attacked by a teenager and a Korean restaurant in NYC is closed down because of a rat.
