We talked about the Knicks loss last night to the Celtics, who they have not beaten all year. There were some encouraging things that we saw from the Knicks in the loss.

We talked about things we’ve had happen to us that would have killed us in the caveman days. Pat Shurmur talked about Sanders as we get closer to the draft.

Boomer has been knee deep in quarterback film. There’s been some concern about Shedeur Sanders ‘patting the ball’ before throwing it, thinking that gives an edge to defenders making it easier to pick off.

Pete Alonso hit a bases clearing double after Soto was intentionally walked to get to him. Boomer called it ‘the Juan Soto effect’. The Yankees got shutout in Detroit as Carlos Carrasco gave up 3 HRs in one inning.

The Knicks lost to the Celtics again last night, but Boomer was still encouraged by the Knicks being able to hang with them. The problem was they were not great in crunch time. Boomer said the Knicks were playing ‘token’ defense, not real defense. The Knicks need to defend the 3-point shot better. At least it wasn’t a blowout loss.
