Boomer & Gio

We start the show talking about the improvements we could see this year. Will Geno do well under Frank Reich? Will the Giants actually make the playoffs?

Boomer and Gio return to tackle Boomer battling Rhinovirus, WFAN’s "great flood," Justin Herbert’s "young love" moment, and Frank Reich’s praise for Geno Smith, alongside updates on Trent Grisham, Chris Sale, Bo Bichette, Adam Vinatieri, and Don Nelson. The show moves into a golf course dilemma, caller Dan in Carteret, Sophie Cunningham’s hard foul, league transgender topics, and obstructed view seats at the new Bills stadium. Hour three breaks down Giants camp predictions, Jets expectations, a Mike Tomlin sighting, Pete Alonso’s two homers, and wives playing golf. Finally, the guys wrap up with Steve Cohen backing David Stearns, Francisco Lindor trade speculation, Dodgers struggles, Bills stadium urinal complaints, and an escaped pet python in New Jersey.

Boomer and Gio are both back today, starting with Boomer battling Rhinovirus and a recap of WFAN’s "great flood." Filling in for Jerry, Gordon Damer brings the updates: Trent Grisham homering in a 2-1 Yankees loss to the Braves, Chris Sale getting ejected before first pitch, Bo Bichette going 5-for-5 in a Mets win, Adam Vinatieri cracking a Belichick girlfriend joke at his Hall of Fame speech, and the passing of former NBA coach Don Nelson at 86. To close out the hour, Gio and Boomer talk Justin Herbert’s "young love" practice moment and Frank Reich’s glowing praise for Geno Smith.

Boomer gets Gio’s opinion on a golf course scenario, which Gio calls "men doing men things," before caller Dan in Carteret checks in on Boomer’s Rhinovirus. Gordon Damer returns with updates on a hard foul on Sophie Cunningham, the Fever coach failing to defend her, and the league’s transgender issue. Plus, the Yankees fall to the Braves despite Cam Schlittler pitching great, and the hour closes with a look at obstructed view seats in the new Buffalo Bills stadium.

The hour opens with Giants training camp and Boomer predicting a 3-2 or 4-1 start, before the guys preview the Jets' tricky Week 1 matchup in Tennessee and Gio shares a Mike Tomlin encounter in Westhampton. Gordon Damer returns for updates after Gio admits he and Gordon love TikTok: the Yankees lose despite a great outing from Cam Schlittler, and Pete Alonso hits two homers in an Orioles win over the Rangers. Finally, Boomer deals with lingering Rhinovirus effects, while Gio debates whether a wife being into golf is a good or bad thing.

Gio reacts to Steve Cohen guaranteeing David Stearns’ return despite epic failure, sparking discussion on the Mets and whether a miserable-looking Francisco Lindor could be traded. Gordon Damer returns for his final update on the Dodgers' recent struggles and another Yankees loss despite a strong start from Cam Schlittler. Fan complaints about a lack of urinal troughs at the new Bills stadium lead to urinal divider talk and the Moment of the Day. Finally, the show closes with an escaped pet python in Freehold, NJ, Gio’s childhood snake story, and Boomer’s nighttime bathroom rules for his football roommates.

Gordon's final update of the day starts with how bad the Dodgers have been in their last twelve games. The Yankees lost to the Braves even though Cam Schlitter had a great outing. Some fans are complaining that the new Bills stadium doesn’t have troughs to urinate in. The Moment of The Day: Springing my nub on people.

After Steve Cohen said David Stearns is coming back after this year, the talk shifts to whether he'd trade Francisco Lindor.
