The Mets lost again to drop to 0-4 and the Yankees won again. Boomer said if this keeps up with the Mets, Pete Alonso will be traded. Boomer said the Mets don’t have anybody even close to a captain on the team. We can lose with you or without you, so we don’t need to pay you $40 million a year. Gio thinks Francisco Lindor is a leader in the clubhouse. Boomer also was watching Caitlin Clark win again last night. He said she reminds him of Larry Bird. Jerry is here for his first update and starts with the Yankees winning their fifth straight to start the season. Anthony Volpe was 4-for-4. The Mets were shutout 5-0 in ten innings. Ronel Blanco of the Astros threw a no hitter in only his 8th career start. Caitlin Clark scored 41 as Iowa beat LSU to head to the Final 4. Angel Reese was very emotional in the postgame. Larry David was on with Bill Simmons and said he’s a huge Rangers fan and watches regular season games as well. In the final segment of the hour, Gio’s friends sent him various things that ended up being April fools jokes. Boomer is going on a Frank The Tank walk next week and thinks it’s going to be rough if the Mets keep losing.

There has been no more talk on who is taking over for Spike Eskin as Program Director at WFAN. Gio said an Amazon delivery driver stole a bunch of eggs containing candy on his friend’s lawn. It was set up for his kids’ Easter egg hunt the next morning. Boomer needs Gio to get his ear back to the ground on what is going on with the Program Director search. Gio does have draft scuttlebutt when it comes to quarterbacks. We talked about a lot of QBs over the months but very little about Drake Maye.
