Reports out of Boston are that Bill Belichick is out after this season in New England. His fate was sealed in Germany when they lost to the Colts. Now the question is will it be amicable or not. Will they let him go on his merry way or will it be a trade situation? Is he going to just go and coach or is he going to want to be GM as well like he is in New England. The Chargers look like a great spot for him with Justin Herbert at QB. Belichick will also probably want to bring his sons with him as coaches. He would probably also want to bring Josh McDaniels as his offensive coordinator. Or you go to the Bears, a legacy franchise, and take Caleb Williams with the first pick. Imagine Aaron Rodgers comes back for the final game of the season, against the Patriots in Bill Belichick’s last game as their coach, and the game means something for the Jets. Jerry is here for his first update but first Boomer complained about the Rangers. Because of that, Jerry started with the Rangers losing 7-3 to Toronto. Aaron Rodgers talked about Zach Wilson’s performance in the second half of Sunday’s game. Brian Daboll was asked if he had any DeVito family cutlets. He also shut down a reporter when they started comparing DeVito to Tom Brady. Gio thinks DeVito can and will get better. Boomer hates the ‘Tommy Cutlets’ thing just like he hates ‘Danny Dimes’. Al & Gio traded Tommy DeVito’s agent’s contact number for a contact that Boomer already had in his phone. In the final segment of the hour, Cam Newton said Dak, Purdy, Tua and Goff are ‘game managers’. Boomer called it ‘uninformed’. Cam said they’re not ‘difference makers’.
Last year people criticized Jets players for putting on Mike White T-shirts as it seemed disrespectful to Zach Wilson. Gio said the Giants just did the same thing by putting out a pic of the locker room all doing the Tommy DeVito hand signal. Do they not respect Daniel Jones? Gio said Jones is a ‘borefest’ and can’t walk back into the locker room as a leader. Jerry returns for an update and starts with Aaron Rodgers talking about Kadarius Toney being offside in the Chiefs game. Toney is on Instagram posting about his offside. Rodgers also talked about Tommy DeVito and his moxy and charisma. Brian Daboll was asked why DeVito went undrafted. The NY Post told Al Michaels he’s not doing a playoff game this year, and that was news to him. Jerry has audio of Cam Newton talking about quarterbacks that played well so far this season and called some of them ‘game managers’. Juan Soto was introduced by the Yankees on a Zoom and was asked about signing an extension. In the final segment of the hour, a sociology professor calls in to explain why Italian stereotypes are acceptable.
Juan Soto referenced ‘while I’m here’ and it got Mets fans excited as they think they can get him next season. Steve Cohen is going to have to outbid everybody for Yamamoto and he is going to have to want to come to NY. Boomer thinks he will go to the Dodgers or Yankees. The Mets have to have the highest bid and believe in the future for Yamamoto to go there. Peter Schwartz is on the phone to talk about Friday night’s B&G Live Show. We need him in a wrestling singlet which he is reluctant to wear. Jerry returns for an update but first a giant tomahawk steak has shown up in the studio from Gabriella’s in NJ. Jerry starts with Juan Soto’s introductory Zoom conference. Aaron Rodgers talked about the narrative changing all the time in the NFL. He watched Tommy DeVito Monday night and was impressed with what he saw.The Rangers lost to Toronto last night, 7-1. Draymond Green got a flagrant last night for throwing a punch that he said he didn’t mean to do. In the final segment of the hour, Gio opens some gifts from Mercedes Benz.
Zach Wilson was named the AFC offensive player of the week and Tommy DeVito was named the NFC offensive player of the week. Only the third time a Jets and Giants QB did that in the same week. Boomer said now teams have tape on DeVito and he has to go on the road in New Orleans. We need him to win this week so we can play Philly on a winning streak. The 102.7 morning show came down looking for their money for their toy donation. Jerry is here for his final update of the day and starts with Shannon Sharpe talking about taking a woman out to dinner and she ordered lobster, which did not go well. Aaron Rodgers talked about Zach Wilson’s performance on Sunday. Brian Daboll does not want you comparing DeVito to Tom Brady. Boomer said Zach should go to the Vikings next season. Gio said if that happens then he knows he’s living in a simulation and none of us really exist. Juan Soto met the media via Zoom and talked about teaming with Aaron Judge. The Rangers lost to Toronto, 7-3. Draymond Green threw a right hook and connected. He claimed he didn’t do it on purpose, but he did. The Moment of The Day involves a play by play call that sounds like an excited Dov Kramer and Boomer makes bizarre noises with his mouth. In the final segment of the show, Gio eats a pear. Ben Roethlisberger thinks it’s time for the Steelers to move on from Mike Tomlin.
