Boomer & Gio

The World Cup Finals tickets for MetLife are prices we’ve never seen before for an event, even more so than Knicks Finals tickets at MSG.

C-Lo returns for an update and starts with David Ortiz loving him some Ben Rice. Mad Dog Russo was killing the HR derby and Netflix.

Tim Hardaway Sr. doesn’t want active NBA players to have podcasts because they talk about other teams and they shouldn’t be. Also, Stefon Diggs has another lawsuit from a guy who said Diggs sexually assaulted him.

C-Lo returns with the sounds of the All-Star game, which only had 1 extra base hit and 27 K’s. ARod talked about Ben Rice before the game. We heard from Rory McIlroy as he was asked about his legacy. Scottie Scheffler then said, ‘we’re all gonna die’.

Matt Miller, an NFL draft analyst, was in a car accident and he lost his arm. Adam Schefter and Pat McAfee contributed to his Go Fund Me page. Then people came out saying he runs a fantasy football league and doesn’t pay the winners.

C-Lo's here with highlights of the All-Star Game including Patti Labelle's rendition of the "Star Spangled Banner" and some pregame hijinks around Philadelphia.

We talked about last night’s All-Star game which ended 4-0 and had a ton of strikeouts. It was simply boring.

With Boomer out, Gio, Jerry, and C-Lo break down the HR derby, Will Ferrell, and an e-bike PSA that leads straight into Pee-Wee Herman. Next, they recap their own third-place golf finish, look at more derby reactions, and hear from a caller who doesn't have a prostate. The focus then turns to Geno Smith's recent police encounters, Aaron Glenn's defensive pressure, and Gio playing bass on Fire Island. Finally, after reflecting on the rapid passage of time and empty nesting, the guys wrap up with Mike Francesa's Jets skepticism, an angry Steve Somers punching a screen, and a Norwegian soccer team spending $10K on cowboy gear and a taxidermy raccoon.

With Boomer out, Gio and Jerry host today, starting with Will Ferrell at last night's HR Derby—an actor Gio admits he was never a fan of, even in his prime. That sparks a flashback to Gio’s 1996 Philly derby trip and eating at Roy Rogers, before C-Lo steps in for Jerry's first update. Hear the sounds of Jordan Walker beating Kyle Schwarber to win it all, Bryce Harper wishing to play alongside Aaron Judge, and Derek Jeter teasing Colin Cowherd over an old interview blunder. Finally, Gio breaks down a video of a Yellowstone bison attacking an old man who could've been Eddie, before a new e-bike PSA leads the guys straight into a discussion about Pee-Wee Herman.
