Mohiuddin Syed, founder and business strategist at Global Info (a digital marketing firm based in Melbourne), has spent more than twenty years building brands across Australia and New Zealand.
In this episode he tells Jennifer how years of Google Ads and SEO turned a car wrecking business into a leading regional name, why one hospitality client has stayed with him for fifteen years since their very first website, and what he thinks of agencies that promise instant results. His case for patience: reputation is built through consistent PR and marketing working together, not through quick fixes.

Turning a Restoration Project Into a Campaign.
Vincent van der Velde, marketing and communications director at Museum Batavialand, is building a campaign around something few marketers ever get to work with: moving the Batavia, a fragile 56-metre replica ship, over land from water to dry dock for restoration.
In this episode he tells Jennifer how the campaign has already delivered 5% visitor growth on last summer despite the heat, and how he combined PR, media partnerships with local TV for documentary coverage, international reach via ANP, social media updates and potential sponsorship into one story.
Wendel Schulp (Global Brand Manager at Aegon) has watched marketing move from paper to platforms — and argues the hard part never changed: actually reaching people and holding their attention.
In this episode she talks Jennifer through Aegon's "Living Happier for Longer" campaign, built around health, social connection, exercise and mental flexibility, and explains why she works with local heroes and community voices instead of celebrities. Along the way: sending flowers to new retirees, sponsoring Dutch skating events, and what it takes to talk about pensions with a generation that sees saving very differently.

Ron Adams leads marketing at Allianz Direct, and has worked with brand ambassadors ranging from the Coronel brothers to Usain Bolt - though he's increasingly convinced by campaigns built for local markets rather than one global message.
In this episode he tells Jennifer why constant testing matters more than being right the first time, how customer behaviour keeps shifting under your feet, and what a strong brand is actually worth. He also makes a pointed argument about ownership: marketing teams should own their brand and their data-driven decisions instead of leaning on agencies to do the thinking.
Coen Olde Olthof is CEO and founder of alpha.one: helping brands kill bad ads before launch.
He went from CMO roles at KPN and Getronics to founding a neuromarketing company built on neural research from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
In this episode he tells Jennifer Delano how a €8,000 campaign involving a tailor and a pair of jeans earned KPN worldwide press coverage, why so many marketers overestimate their own knowledge, and what it takes to get clients to actually trust an AI prediction model.

Farouk Nefzi is Chief Marketing Officer at Feadship, one of the world’s foremost custom superyacht builders.
The goal isn't visibility but desirability. In this episode Farouk tells Jennifer why he builds his marketing around human connection rather than algorithms, and walks through the thinking behind the "House of Feadship" concept at boat shows, the personalised "Carte Blanche Experience", and the manifesto films that tell the story of yacht ownership without ever showing a yacht. He also explains why success here is measured in biennial market surveys instead of KPIs, and gives young marketers one piece of advice: understand people, not algorithms. When a client buys once or twice in a lifetime, trust is the only real currency.
