Well, one of the best two-week stretches in sports--and sports gambling--has come to an end with Hideki Matsuyama's big win at Augusta on Sunday, so we once again enter into a relatively short "gambling doldrum", but we're just two weeks away from the NFL Draft and the Kentucky Derby, so hang in there gang! The guys recap Hideki's historic win, all of the big matches over the two nights of Wrestlemania 37, and they look ahead to the biggest "sporting spectacle" of the weekend, which has to be the Jake Paul vs. Ben Askren boxing PPV match! Is it legit? Who knows! Will we be betting on it? Absolutely! All that, and much more on this week's BBSBC pod!!
One of the best sports week of the year is this week, and Chad Ford and I are here for it people!! We start by recapping Baylor's big win over the Zags on Monday night, we talk NFL and the Jets' big trade this week, as well as opening week of the MLB and how Tatis' shoulder injury might impact the Padres, if at all. But our attention this week is mainly focused on the two "biggies", and that of course is Wrestlemania 37 and the Masters! Chad and I highlight the big matches down in Tampa for WM37, and then make our picks/best bets for who will slip on that famous green jacket Sunday afternoon! All that, and much more on this week's BBSBC podcast!!
Keith is on vacation this week but the guys "zoom" in to talk NCAA Final Four, Ngannou's big win from UFC 260, and how Vegas is trying to "open" again in light of the pandemic. It's a relatively short pod this week, as Keith has more money to lose at the tables, but the guys make their picks/best bets on the Final Four games this weekend so that you can place your bets accordingly (with Chad, not Keith)! Enjoy this "away game" pod "live" from Las Vegas!!!
Welp, our brackets are busted and we're sure yours is as well! Lots of upsets and storylines to recap from the opening weekend of the NCAA tourney, as well as a check-in on the NFL free agency market! The guys then talk NBA trade deadline deals and what our OKC Thunder might do, and we also talk UFC 260 with the big Miocic/Ngannou rematch that will take place on Saturday night! We end with our "revised" Final 4 picks going into the Sweet 16 games later in the week and debate about whether anyone can take down the 'Zags before the national championship in Indy!! All that, and so much more on this week's BBSBC pod!!
The guys wrap up their "live" remote from Chalk talking about the Midwest Region and which four teams will advance to the Sweet 16 from there!
The guys preview the South region here in Segment 3 "live" from Chalk for the 68-team giveaway!
The guys are still "live" at Chalk and break down the East Region here in Segment 2!
The guys are "live" at Chalk for St. Patty's Day and the 68-team NCAA Tourney giveaway!
March is here, and we're on the precipice of one of the best 6-week stretches in sports (gambling), people! On this episode the guys discuss Dak's big contract with the Cowboys and they recap Keith's "win" in the NBA All-Star game (Giannis!!). The guys then recap UFC 259, which was a "mixed bag" for a big PPV given some of the crazy/impressive/boring results . . . But the big topic of this episode is NCAA basketball conference tourney week, with the guys making their picks/best bets on the big tournaments to take place over the weekend! The "big" tournament, of course, is still a week away, but the guys have some big news about a "live remote" coming up at Chalk next week as well! All that, and so much more on this week's episode!!
Chalk's very own "gambling guru," Chad Ford, is back with lots of thoughts on JJ Watt signing with the AZ Cardinals, the LV Knights' short-lived marketing partnership with a sports picks service, and Bedlam basketball! The guys also look ahead to UFC 259 this weekend and the mega-card for that big PPV! But the main topic of this pod is the NBA, and in particular, the All-Star weekend in what will certainly be a "different" format given the circumstances. The guys talk NBA standings at the proverbial "halfway point", and the guys draft their own fantasy squads from the All-Star lineup for this weekend! All that, plus some "memory lane" references to Chad's big victory in the Tecmo Super Bowl world championships a few years ago!!!
