Time to start thinking FAFSA, letters of rec requests(we hear plying a certain English teacher with a bottle or two of strawberry milk will greatly improve that recommendation letter!), and making that list of potential schools. In this episode, Ethan chats up Borah's College and Career counselor, Jenni Kimball, and Santiago sits down with the College of Western Idaho's Latinx Student Services Coordinator, Javier Garcia. On Saturday, February 1, 2020 Jad Abumrad, host of Radio Lab and Dolly Parton’s America podcast series, visited the Borah High School library in Boise. For over an hour, in a library jammed with eager students, Jad graciously sat for an interview with Borah Pridecast student host, Ellie Smith (graduating class of 2020!). A few weeks later, the COVID-19 pandemic surged, and the school year went virtual; the Pridecast studio was shuttered for the next 14 months.
