In today’s session, we are exploring the topic “Prayer: Strength in weakness”. In this study we see how prayer is God’s mechanism to supplement for our human frailty and weakness. We consider case study characters like Gideon and Peter.

When God wants to use a person for the kingdom, He takes the person through a process. A process that changes the person from just a 'heap of stones' to become the 'house of God'. This process is called DEALINGS. The dealings of God are what shape our character, temperament, and habit to conform to the image of Christ. In this Bible Study session, we explore the dealings of God in the life of believer and how we should respond.

A circumcised heart represents one that has made God its source and has no confidence in the flesh. A heart that has learned to trust God above any human advantages or privileges. In this session we begin our study on the path of spiritual maturity - the total dependence on God.

One of the descriptions of God is "a consuming fire". It is no wonder that when we come into God, He ignites us with that same fire so we burn for Him. Today's Bible study was dedicated to prayer, and God rekindled His fire upon our hearts.

After having the revelation that we are dead to sin, the next step is to "reckon" ourselves to be so. That means to accept as our present continuous reality that we are indeed what God says we are - dead to sin. It is after this that we can easily yield ourselves to God. 

Today's Bible study concludes the study on Romans 6 by linking the three steps for Christian living; Dead to sin, Reckoning, and yielding.
