In the first Bible study of the year, we explored heaven's emphasis for the current season: taking roots downwards and bearing fruits upward. We also explored the 3 reasons why believers are unfruitful.

In this Bible study we looked at the Believer's altar; what it means and the application in our lives. 

When Elijah was going to call fire from heaven, the first thing he did was to repair the altar. This is significant to believers because, for us to see the manifestation of God's power consistent in our lives, we must first rebuild our altars. In today's prayer meeting, we spent time 'repairing' our altars so we can accommodate more of God's fire in our lives.

1. By a revelation from God

2. By studying the pattern of God's dealings with us

3. The inclination of our spiritual appetite. 

All though we belong to God, everyone one of us has a unique identity in Him. Discovering and understanding this identity is important to us fulfilling God’s plan for our lives. The greatest expression of God's grace would be found in the activities that most align with your identity. Join us for an insightful session of Bible Study.

Our true identity can only be found in Christ. Anything outside Christ is scripturally considered as death. Today, we explore who we are in Christ and study two things God calls us as.

"Prayer is not the natural preference of the flesh, so you’ll need the help of the Spirit to be consistent"

One of the weaknesses and limitations inherent in our humanity is that we don't know what we should pray for as we should. However, the Holy Spirit helps in the place of prayer. In this study, we see two ways the Holy Spirit helps us;

1. By Quickening us in prayer 

2. By giving us a burden to prayer. 

"Prayer is a spiritual adventure designed to be facilitated by the Holy Spirit. If you exempt the Holy Spirit from prayer, it becomes a monologue recitation."

In today's session, we finish off what we started in the last Bible session. We look at the difference between the operation of the Spirit within and the Spirit upon.
