• iShares MSCI United Kingdom ETF (EWU) - An exchange-traded fund (ETF) play on the United Kingdom. UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson stepped down from his position as the UK's top politician in late-Wednesday news.
• Bed Bath & Beyond (BBBY) - A play on recent buying of company shares by Bed Bath & Beyond execs. Importantly, the insider buying comes as shares have fallen more than 80% over just the last three months. Company filings Wednesday evening showed Bed Bath & Beyond's interim CEO purchased more than $230,000 in company stock and two other execs purchased a combined total near $100,000.
• United Maritime Corp. (USEA) - Wednesday's momentum du jour play. Shares of this low-float Greece-based overseas shipper began trade Wednesday, only to rally nearly 200% on no specific news. According to data on Benzinga Pro, the company's issue has about 1 million shares in its float. The stock was up another 150% in pre-market action Thursday.
• Levi Strauss (LEVI) - A play on upcoming earnings by a popular apparel brand. The company will report quarterly results after market close Thursday.
• Grove Co. (GROV) - A play on the expansion of Grove's products into three major retailers. Shares were up about 7% Thursday morning amid news the company's products will now be available in Kohl's (KSS), Midwest-based Meijer and also Giant Eagle.
