Angie Lickliter is an author, entrepreneur, and fierce advocate for holistic healing. After claiming victory over a decades-long battle with Crohn’s Disease—what she calls her “Gut Monster”—Angie made it her mission to empower others to take control of their health and design the life of their dreams. She holds certifications in Holistic Gut Health and Cannabis Coaching. This passion led to the creation of her transformative “Gut Girl Coaching” program.

In her book Finding Her, Angie takes readers on a raw and inspiring journey through the "monsters" that once held her back, offering powerful insights, personal stories, and practical tools for healing and self-discovery. Writing her own story brought profound healing, and now she’s helping other women do the same. 

Her newest venture, Finding Her & The Write to Heal Project, guides women through the power of journaling—with words that release, wellness that restores, and a gut you can trust.

Angie is also a public speaker and podcast guest, sharing her story and insights to inspire audiences to take bold steps toward becoming a warrior in their own battles.

Lately I have been really exploring the concept of redefining success as the personal experience it is meant to be, and not measured by what other's deem to be successful. Monet has been doing what she loves, what she was born to do since the age of 7 years old .. and to me .. that is success!

Monet Sabel is a California-raised, New York City-based actress, singer, musician, and adventurer. Monet grew up performing in Southern California, then moved to New York to study at NYU Tisch: New Studio on Broadway. After school, she was cast in the critically acclaimed Off-Broadway revival of Sweeney Todd, which was an immersive production set in a pie shop in the West Village. For the past several years, she has been playing Carole King in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical first joining the show on the national tour, and subsequently playing regional theaters all around the country. She has toured internationally as well, as a vocalist in the Japanese tour of Disney on Classic. Monet recorded a self-titled jazz album, which is available to stream, and is the soloist on an Emmy-nominated song featured in the HBO documentary “Song of Parkland”.

Today's episode with the incredible Dr. Carrie Mackensen is all about how to best support our children to become all of who they were born to be by making informed decisions around interactive screen time and social media and educating ourselves on the negative impacts they are having on our kids young developing brains. 

In a world with a barrage of incoming content, today’s youth are not free to be all of themselves—they don't even get a chance to find out who they are. These interactive devices hack their developing brains, steal their attention, put focus on getting likes over finding out what they like, and in the process degrade their mental health.

Dr. Carrie Mackensen, affectionately called Dr. Carrie by her clients, holds a PhD in Individual, Family, and Child Psychology.  

She has been working in the field of psychology for over 25 years in various settings from K-12 schools, as an attending Psychologist at Cedars Sinai Hospital, as the Clinical Director of two high-end residential treatment programs, one for Addiction and another for Eating Disorders, and she ran a private practice in Beverly Hills and Manhattan Beach, CA.

She is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist turned Parent Coach because, as she explains, "Kids don't come with operating manuals!" 

Dr. Carrie believes parents are the most influential people in a child's life, and as such, parents need support and guidance to parent optimally.  She started Successful Parent to coach parents with science-based strategies to overcome challenges so kids and families can thrive.

Welcome to the first episode of 2025!! I am so grateful to have my spiritual soul sister and friend, Kate Yurenda, back on the podcast to share a real and raw, entertaining and inspiring conversation about being in deep surrender and trust in the most uncertain of times.

My personal journey almost always foreshadows and reflects the collective experience and opportunities for expansion and evolution. For the past several months I have been deep in the lessons of this Earth School ... bringing me into a state of surrender, detachment, searching and studying. It has been painful and scary at times. There have been many days where nothing seems to make sense and I've questioned everything I have learned and believed. And as the spiritual journey goes ... I have once again found my resilience and inspiration through this deep surrender and am unwavering in my commitment to share and serve. I am still in many of the lessons, but I have a clearer understanding of the purpose of the lessons, and I feel hopeful. And I am so very grateful to have friends like Kate who walk this path alongside me, and maintain their devotion to the mission through it all. We always have a choice ... evolve or repeat ... trust all is happening for the greater good or fall into fear and victimhood ... raise your frequency or stay in the mud. Some days are easier than others, but I choose to raise my frequency to the best of my ability and surrender to the infinite intelligence of the Divine.

I truly hope you find inspiration in this very honest conversation, and feel less alone on your own journey.

Today I had the honor of being in conversation with the multi-faceted, multi-talented, and multi-passionate Brianna Brown Keen.
