Trauma is personal, but everyone has "collected" some trauma as part of their experience on Earth.

As Jess Madenford defines it, “Trauma is when someone has experienced something stressful in their life. It could have been out of their control. It deeply impacted their mental, emotional state of being. It could be something that was done physically or verbally, it could have been a harmful situation as well. Sometimes we experience trauma as a secondary participant – meaning it’s not happening directly to us, but we are an observer of it.”

Jess always knew she wanted to be a teacher because school gave her a place of belonging that her own home couldn't in one way or another. Little did she know she had childhood trauma to heal, so that she can begin her next chapter – that of an Intuitive Life Coach that empowers others to break free from the generational cycles of trauma.

She continued on the teaching path only to discover she was slowly but surely losing herself in it – overachieving, people pleasing, facing burnout episodes and panic attacks. She knew something had to change!

So she did something that many women often don't have the courage to do – she put herself first. That was the beginning of her healing journey. Healing from the inside out was the key to the transformation that was needed to break the toxic family cycles, so that she can become the role model she never had for the future generations.

The best advice she ever received was actually a question: "Do you want to be right, or do you want to be happy?"
