In this episode, I share a jewel that I learned from a good friend Jessica Bullock of Jesus & Therapy podcast on matching other people's energy in relationships. I share how I have been able to apply the quote "We suffer in pain longer than we have to when we refuse to accept reality." In this episode, Tisha shares an experience that has left her with a cloud over her head for the past 2+ years. In 2019 a major event happened in her family and along with it came feelings of shame, guilt, disappointment, hurt that have taken years to move past. Through therapy, prayer, and introspection she was finally able to release these feelings that kept her in bondage. The experience silenced her voice and rocked her family but she was able to heal, grow, release and free herself from the bondage that wanted to hold her in silent captivity. People often say what doesn't kill you will make you stronger, but Tisha believes that it can only make you stronger if you let it. Going through challenging times can definitely leave you in a worse state of depression, bitterness, anger, and bondage if you don't intentionally set yourself up with the necessary resources to help you overcome.
