Bleacher report - Boston, in particular, has no trade deadline escape hatch built into its roster/payroll situation, which is probably why it was the first team to show real desperation by firing Alex Cora.  Sonny Gray is the Red Sox's only impending free agent with any particular trade value, and even that's questionable due to the $10M buyout of a 2027 mutual option.
