In this mis-informed episode, our heroes talk stem mastering, transformer step-downs, a love of Portico preamps. Joey talks about building gear to save money, James has a new obsession, and they talk about an interesting use for a ribbon mic. There's also the potential for a story told with completely inaccurate information.

In this data driven episode, our heroes are surprised last minute by the chaotic mastering engineer, Glen Allen of Paradox Mastering. Together, they engage on a debate over MP3 conversion issues, mastering standards, data compression issues, and what radio does to broadcast audio. Joey and James each catch each other with incorrect information, and Glen chimes in sporadically. Oh, and cheap flashlights!

In this dreadfully late and unprepared episode, our heroes talk gear and the uses of gear and what gear hasn't yet been used for. James shares stories of hiding booze in coffee cups, Joey complains about the homeless and how he wants gear to be cheaper, and they discuss the merits of REALLY unmatched overheads on drums. The episode ends with a discussion about more gear Joey wants. Sorry for being late everyone!

In this replacement episode, our angry hero, Joey, is missing. James is joined by Garret James of Renders Music and Glen Allan of Paradox Mastering to alleviate the pressure of a solo show. The ensemble cast grazes through business taxes, author mothers, and honesty in music. Garret talks live tracking, Glen talks about mixing consoles in other studios, and James struggles to stay on target. Find everything about Garret James below.
