Hey there Bourbon Beginners. We got our hand on the world famous Willett 4-Year Small Batch Rye— really famous for its green top—is the perfect place us beginners to start. For a long time, rye had a reputation for being aggressively spicy, but Willett changes the game by blending two different recipes for balance. Is it up to snuff? We'll see.

We got our hands on what is a supposedly highly allocated Ampersand Opimus, a 15-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon finished in Hungarian Tokaji dessert wine casks. Does it live up to the hype? We'll find out.

In this episode we try one of Andrew's favorite type of whiskey, whiskey finished in port barrels like this one from Isaac Bowman. A whiskey from Virginia as well. How do we do on trying something different from our usual repertoire?
