Ever heard of 𝗥𝗮𝘆𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁? No? You’re not alone. Born in 1920, polio survivor, chess-club kid 🎵♟️ – and somehow also 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝘂𝘅𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗴’𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀 against the Nazis.

Under aliases like 𝗔𝗖𝟭𝟯 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁 (very spy-movie 🎭), he founded the 𝗟𝘂𝘅𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘁 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗲 (LPL) in 1940, spreading underground news, forging documents, sabotaging the occupiers, and generally giving the Gestapo a permanent migraine.
