Jesus wasn’t lying when he said the path is narrow. (Of course he wasn’t, he is literally THE truth) Most of the time I feel like I’m walking a tight rope trying to live a life that imitates Christ. There are many moments where, the desire to be like Christ is there but, living out ‘wwjd’ feels absolutely impossible. But what a blessing it is to remember that when Christ lives within us, we are no longer bound by the law, but instead, under God’s glorious grace. In Galatians 5:4 Paul says, “If you are trying to make yourselves right with God by keeping the law, you have been cut off from Christ! You have fallen away from God’s grace.” NLT
In this episode I read an entry from my journal, that was written in a moment of clarity after confusion and self-condemnation.
My hopes for this podcast episode is that someone may begin to understand just one of the many ways that “His grace is sufficient.” (2 Cor 12:9) I hope that someone can listen to this & remember that, you are not deemed righteous by your good works or deeds, but by faith in Christ. God did not send His son to condemn the world, but to save it, so when the pharisees inside of you attempt to lead you into self-condemnation, say, “there is grace for this. I will be kind to myself, just as Jesus is.” Being confident that He who started a good work in you, will bring it to completion. (Philippians 1:6)
“We who live by the Spirit eagerly wait to RECEIVE BY FAITH, the righteousness God has promised to us.” (Gal. 5:5) IG: @boutmyfathersbizness
