  • BLADE
Some podcasts are always trying to ice skate uphill. But, thanks to SPF9000, the BOP Crew can Walk like a Daywalker to sink their fangs into all things BLADE! On this anniversary year for the Marvel movie that started it all, we're taking a look back at how a niche' goggle sporting Tomb of Dracula character became the baddest mother fu*ker on the planet. All the strengths of the action-horror genre, none of the weaknesses! Beginning with the time the writer of David Hasselhoff's Nick Fury TV movie and an untested British director teamed with that guy from Major League to burst the jugular vein of cinema, with 1998's BLADE.

  • THE CABIN IN THE WOODS (with Carter Lee)
The lambs have downloaded the podcast. Let them affix their earbuds and cleanse them. Cleanse the world of their ignoran-- wait, this description is for public consumption, isn't it? Oh man, I don't know who's reading this. I gotta be more careful. Anyways, if you haven't gathered by that super hilarious bit of parody, The Crew is FINALLY appeasing the Ancient Ones by assuming their stereotypes of The Athlete, The Scholar, The Virgi-- oh, let's face it, we're all The Fool. Either way, the stage is set to wax poetically about Drew Goddard's THE CABIN IN THE WOODS! And to really get into the meat of this meta-horror masterpiece, we've invited Friend of BOP, journalist, author, wrestler, advocate, space scientist adventurer (might have made that last one up), and our very own Fornicus, Lord of Bondage and Pain: Carter Lee!

  • READY PLAYER ONE
A podcaster who hates his podcast. A hidden cameo, and tangents not forecast. Click the link, ignore our past, and this episode of BOP will be yours at last! As you can tell by CGI Cody feeding you wizard riddles, The Crew is logging on to The Oasis to talk Steven Spielberg's ode to pop culture - READY PLAYER ONE! We dig into the film's surprisingly nuanced approach to nostalgia, compare Ernest Cline's book to Zak Penn's nearly unrecognizable script, debate whether Wade Watts is a nice guy or a "Nice Guy", and remind ourselves periodically that, yes, Steven Spielberg directed scenes with THOSE characters.

  • mother! (with Adam Avitable)
The most PROVOCATIVE episode from the most PROVOCATIVE of podcasters, about the most PROVOCATIVE movie by the most PROVOCATIVE  of directors, guest star-- we should probably cut out the provocative thing and do this straight, right? Okay. Unlike Jennifer Lawrence's rotten luck with her house guests, we aren't tormented by guest co-host Adam Avitable, whom The BOP Crew welcomes into the fold for some much needed help in discussing Darren Aronofsky's downright nihilistic damning of pretty much everything: mother! Will we find the words to describe what the hell this thing is and why we love it? Gulp down some mysterious yellow liquid and join us, why don't you?

Leave your bright and sunny universe behind and take a step into a Da-- oh, sorry, as I was typing that, that entire initiative was cancelled. ANYWAYS, you may no longer be able to wander the secretive halls of Prodigium again anytime soon, but you can wander the halls of Cody's Memory Palace! Come inside, kiddies, for a new installment of Taaaaales Froooom The BOOOOOOOP! In which films not on the "must see!" spectrum are retold to you by one of our illustrious Crew members, who took the plunge into movie muck so you don't have to! This time, Cody recounts, like an exposition spewing Doc Jekyll, that time a major studio buried themselves alive like so many Imhotep's by placing their Cinematic Universe hopes in the hands of a crazy, running in place Scientologist. Prepare for a world of God's, Monsters, perplexing plot turns, Tom Cruise being an asshole, and a Pyramid's worth of over-done flashbacks. It's the first and only Dark Universe entry -- THE MUMMY!

  • SOLO: A Star Wars Story

Hiya guys, I'm Han Solo, and this is a podcast all about my very first adventure in outer space! Wow! It might be my first week as a smuggler, but I can tell I'm in good hands with the Box Office Pulp Crew. They told me they're gonna brag all about my best friend Chewbacca, and all the decisions Mr. Howard made when he was putting this wacky gang of ours together, and even about my new bud Lando and his wife! She's a really nice lady and also a robot, and that's a-okay with me, not like she's taking a job *I* want. Ha ha ha, I'm just kidding ya. If the rest of my career goes this wizard, they're gonna have to start calling me Han BUDDIES! I have a good feeling about this.

  • INCEPTION Commentary Track: Level 3
Now, you mustn't be afraid to dream a little bigger, darlings. Unfortunately for us, and to a degree, unfortunately for you, as well, we dreamed big. Way, way too big. Welcome to the third level down. The grand experiment in Inception commentating continues, in which we annually provide commentary for the previous year's commentary. My head is spinning. This year, Saito has bled out, but we soldier on without him... and Cody's brought alcohol. So, for once, having to commentary a commentary is the least troublesome thing we must endure. In what might be BOP's most surreal recording yet, the Crew descends into madness and self-reflection as they have nothing left to talk about in regards to the film Inception, but are, for some reason, still doing this stupid tradition just for the joke of it. We're so sorry. But never say we haven't shed blood for our listeners.

Lay your head down onto the train tracks of your mind in an effort to wake from this hideous dream by downloading the commentary here!

  • AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR
Dread it. Run from it. This episode still arrives. The BOP Crew have used the Eye of Agamotto to view 300,605 versions of this episode. We stay on topic for exactly... one. Good news! That's the one we're releasing, so you get all the spoilers, all the tears, and all the insane theories! What has this grand experiment in cinematic storytelling wrought? Mostly praise for how enthralling and filled with pathos THANOS of all characters is, but also a look into how the Russo Brothers pulled off the hat trick of living up to hype and showing off what the MCU is capable of with ten years behind it. After the Malekith's, Killian's, and Yellow Jacket's of the world, is it really a villain's story that becomes the perfect summation of the MCU thus far? It's AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR time, folks!

  • EVIL DEAD (2013) Commentary Track
The BOP Crew wants you folks to CUT IT! But if you've somehow managed to not read from a cursed book bound in human flesh and become possessed, then you're definitely ready to join us in this sojourn into the woods for this extra special BOP 'n A Movie feature commentary! Why so extra special, you ask? Because we find ourselves celebrating the five year anniversary of Fede Alvarez's supremely underrated EVIL DEAD remake! Entwined within this audio recorded in human blood, we delve into the aftermath of it's release, the abandoned franchise plans - including the crossover with Ash himself! - and the overlooked and hefty sub-textual themes of drug abuse, addiction, and self-destruction this film carries with it! Evil Dead deserves your respect, and if you don't give it, Mia WILL probably shove a chainsaw in your face.
