The collective bargaining agreement between the USL and the Players Association expired December, 31st 2025. As players report for training across the league, there's still a lot of negotiating to be done as it relates to fair working conditions and professional standards. USL has their eyes on an expansive Promotion/Relegation system sure to shake the foundation of American soccer but the players aren't seeing much of that expansiveness and are

Born in Fort Collins, Tobin's current role as Executive Director is heavily informed by his prior playing days. The retired defender had to wear two hats; collectively organizing players across various locker rooms and also then trying to win on the pitch. Now, as Director, the line is not as blurred and Tobin's primary objective is to finding and maintaining a fair balance between the league and it's players to ensure sustainability for the years to come.
