Back to Back episodes for Box to Box this week. Unfortunately, the timing meant that the quiz couldn't take place on this one, the host had an emergency but some tactical discussions which were extremely interesting around gegenpress were explored. Is it fading out of style and what are some of the teams doing right now to counter the style? Klopp and Hasslehuttl clearly have some fading powers. Ade and Leon dive into what they feel is the reason for the decline. We also looked at whether KDB is just a City system player and why people think he cannot perform outside of that system. Lastly, Leon and Ade debated some of the outsiders and apparent favorites for the world cup. Can England finally bring it home? 

A sleepy and dedicated John helped us out this week all the way from Australia with technical issues from our regular host Maz preventing us to have a front three. Carlisle our other regular host was also on hand for Episode 8 of the Box to Box podcast. This weekend has been incredibly eventful and that isn't even thinking about the football. We saw multiple last-minute winners and red cards all across the league. We focussed on Liverpool's owners publicly stating they're open to investment which has shocked quite a few people given the timing and what Liverpool was creating. Maybe it's the end of the cycle? We also touched on Southampton being the latest team to let go of their manager and how that will affect the mid-table clashes. Lastly, we looked at the Champions League and Europa League draw and put our predictions on wax. 

A casual chat this week with Carlyle aka Mr hurt by football on this week's Box to Box Podcast. We looked at the weekend's football action and continued our voodoo curse on bad things happening when we say good things about a team and this week it was Mr. Potter who was part of our spell. Brighton's thrashing of Chelsea turned heads and Liverpool is in crisis yet again. We then looked at how the crammed October schedule is potentially deteriorating the Premier League brand of football and how this potentially affects the English club's chances in the Champions League come February. Lastly, we touched on redemption arcs and the players who have now come to the front of the pecking order after a torrid time. Some of the names mentioned we Rashford, Kepa, Xhaka, and Joelinton. Anyone else you can think of? Lastly, it was a 1V1 quiz and there were some interesting questions - more of which we will share on our socials. 

We're back again midweek for episode 6 of the Box to Box Podcast. Slight substitution this week going with a new formation. Newly wed Ade comes in to the mix fresh from his mini moon and Sat the philosopher comes through to drop some knowledge around Jamaican sprinters and how Brentford are missing out on some tricks here. We talked about how Chelse can and have been essentially buying ready made players and does this mean a shift in transfer strategy by PL clubs plucking young talent across the leagues? How will Brentford cope in 2024 when the FA require teams to have an academy? We also talked about the best Goalkeepers at the moment as well as legends of the past. Has the GK postion evolved yet again where we're expecting assists on a regular basis now? Our last discussion point is obviously Almiron vs Grealish. Who is actually the better player - Almiron has been on fire and at £100m has Grealish actually been worth it? 

We're back again for another Box to Box podcast with Maz, Kush and Carlyle having a quick chat around some of our observed unpopular opinions as suggested by one of our followers. It was extremely casual but given the volume of games that have been happening and scheduling conflicts, we still thought it was a good opportunity to start sharing some of the thoughts we had around the football we're seeing. 

Steven Gerrard outlasted Liz Truss by 1 day and continues our Box to Box voodoo of something huge happening everytime we record an episode.

In this episode of the Box To Box podcast, we welcomed a new face to the fray - Maz who though potentially Brighton have missed a trick with not appointing Rodgers. Conte and Simeone came up as well with our two other hosts not rating the work either are currently doing. Are Conte and Simeone outdated managers? Thats the question we posed and finally we looked towards the World Cup and what Southgates selection choice informs us as fans what to expect come this winter. 

It's our first episode on the Box to Box podcast. We are using Spotify Live as a means to allow people real time listening and questioning, after all we're trying to build a community here. This ISN'T a traditional podcast ! There are a few teething problems *Leons mic* but that gets ironed out and it'll always happen, it's our first go. Rest assured he's got a better mic ready. 

We delve into the controversies of VAR over the weekends action and dig deeper around Brightons chances of getting Europe? Are they now replacing Leicester City? I was the lone ranger standing for Ivan Toney and backing him for a big move but I'll stay on this hill for the forseeable future.
