We have discovered over the past couple weeks that Jesus intended the “church” not to be a building but a people called out to spread the Good News and establish God’s Kingdom on earth. We have also looked at the daily lives of the early Christians and found that they were daily devoted to that very purpose. This week, we will get a little more practical as we discover the simple and powerful way to be the Church in our society today.

This Sunday, we shout 'Hosanna! Hosanna, in the highest!' as Jesus enters Jerusalem to start Holy Week. Before the waving of palms and the fanfare of Jesus' entry, there is a lot that happens: his best friend Lazarus dies and is raised from the dead, and he joins his sisters Mary and Martha for a meal with Jesus. Jesus gathers at the table with his chosen family for a meal to celebrate resurrection as the tone is set for Holy Week.
