Perhaps anything is better in comparison to the atrocious God's Not Dead, but helmed by a pair of directors who seem to have some competence with story structure and more than enough talent behind the camera, Woodlawn is - dare I say it? - not bad. It's not very good, mind you, but it's a step - even a baby one - in the right direction.

God may not be dead, but if this film is any indication, then Jim's hope for quality Christian films certainly is flatlining. Listen as Jim unloads about a film that is so bad in its nearsightedness that even its goofs and screw ups are indicative of larger narrative and theological incompetence.
