B.P.M. Session Podcast

★ West Coast Collective in the Mix! ★

Afternoon Delight West Coast Collective Edition — Deep house unity straight from the sunny shores of California! 🌊🔊

This legendary set was recorded live at AFTERNOON DELIGHT #2 — Poolside paradise at the Custom Hotel, Los Angeles. Presented by Auburn Events and Homemade Events. Those Custom Hotel pool days were pure magic: endless sunshine, rolling basslines, hypnotic rhythms, and a collective vibe that united heads from LA to San Diego, SF, and Seattle. The West Coast Collective delivered that signature deep house sound — soulful, funky, and forever forward-thinking — keeping the dancefloor alive from afternoon into golden hour.

Captured and shared through The B.P.M. Session, the enduring LA dance music podcast/radio project hosted by Raul “DJ Strange Love” Cortes — still dropping fire from the West LA studio! Massive props to the full crew that lit up those parties: High Pockets, West Coast Collective, Joshua Heath, Adam Auburn, HAWT. More Afternoon Delights in spirit forever!

Special thanks to insoulwetrust.com (“Best House Music Radio”) for the archive video footage that helped finish these shows back then — real community support that kept the legacy alive.

★ Ron Carroll in the Mix! ★

This Is House Music — Ron Carroll rocks the poolside crowd in the City of Angels! 🔥

This unforgettable set was recorded live at AFTERNOON DELIGHT West Coast Edition on August 27, 2011 — Poolside at the Custom Hotel, L.A. Presented by Auburn Events, DAE Deep, and Homemade Events. (That era’s pool parties at the Custom Hotel were pure magic — summer vibes, house anthems, and non-stop grooves under the California sun.)

Ron Carroll, the legendary Chicago vocalist, DJ, and producer (aka the “Minister of Sound”), brought his powerful, soulful preacher-style energy to the West Coast, dropping classics that still move dancefloors worldwide — think “Lucky Star” with Superfunk, “Back Together” with Hardsoul, “What a Wonderful World” with Bob Sinclar & Axwell, and so much more. His gospel-infused house forever shaped the genre.

This gem was captured and shared via The B.P.M. Session — the long-running dance podcast/radio legacy from Los Angeles, hosted by Raul “DJ Strange Love” Cortes. Shoutout to the crew that made it happen back then, and to the ongoing support from RadioFuturaMusic.com, TurntableMafia.com, and StrangeloveEntertainment.com.
