The Alpha and Omega edition - in the last episode on elections, Brad and Ned talk about the light and dark sides of democracy, discussing the 1994 South African election, which brought Nelson Mandela and the ANC to power in that country, and the series of elections in Germany between 1930 and 1933 that sounded the death knell for the Weimar Republic and the advent of the Third Reich.

The conservative collapse edition ... Ned continues his hatchet job on Winston Churchill, describing his historic defeat (Winston's, not Ned's) in the 1945 UK election. Brad then gets into the nitty gritty and long lasting impact of the Liberals 1993 landslide victory in Canada.

The democracy edition - Our heroes begin what is likely to be a lengthy discussion of their top five elections. In this episode they talk about the 2000 and 1860 US presidential elections. To paraphrase Churchill, Brad and Ned's is the worst from of podcasting, except for all the others. And a shout out to Ben, our latest, and probably first American, subscriber!

Third time's the charm...and what could be more charming than Brad and Ned talking about World War II? Just Brad talking about it! In this episode, the boys wrap up their discussion of the top battles with Brad explaining the Battles of Midway and Arnhem, and Ned demonstrating his active listening skills.

The Long Windiness of War - Brad and Ned really found their groove talking War War II battles and managed to chat for two hours non-stop. This is the first of at least two, but more likely three, episodes that have been carved out of that marathon natter sesh. Who would have thought that two middle aged white guys could talk for so long about war? But there you go.
