Brad J Plays...

I’m finally back and with an extra long episode to boot! On this one I discuss the future of the podcast, talk about my favorite solo games, and, of course, read some choice one star reviews of games I love.

On this episode I teach and review Phil Eklund’s civilization building epic, Bios: Origins.

On this episode, I have fellow GamingwithSwag contributor, Shane Faux-Dugan, as my guest to discuss our most formative games. Did any of these games have an impact on you?

It’s a couple days behind, but on this mini episode I re-cap the final two days of PAX Unplugged 2019.

Today was the first day on PAX Unplugged 2019 and on this episode I recap my experiences at the con.

In this episode, Dean and Chris join me as we depart from the normal teaching format to talk about PAX Unplugged 2019, specifically, what we hope to play at PAX. Don’t worry, we still finish with a reading of one star reviews though!

In this episode I attempt to teach the Phil Eklund masterpiece, Pax Renaissance. I’ve got a cold so of course I decided to use my cough syrup haze to try and tackle one of the most dense games I’ve ever played! I start with an overview, go into the detailed teach, then read some colorful reviews from BGG.

In this episode I discuss and teach the wonderful economic strategy game, Pipeline. This could be my current favorite game, and if not, it’s close to the top. I also take some time at the end of the podcast to read a few entertaining reviews from people that didn’t like the game quite as much as I did.

In this episode I unwrap the super dense economic game, Lisboa. In addition to teaching I read some fun one star reviews from BGG and talk about the board game day I went to.

On this episode we learn how to play, Stronghold Games, Terraforming Mars. This game may be as dry as Mars but it’s also just as exciting! We also read some more choice one star reviews from BoardGameGeek.com.
