  • Midlife Crisis Hotline: Dr. Word Smith

Welcome to the MidLife Crisis Hotline! The calls are coming in, the lines are lighting up, the crises will be averted! Because we have each other. Join me in the new series where guests and I wax the nostalgic, deconstruct our lives, and find relief in the human condition's movement through space and time. We use this show as a chance to connect and expand our capacity to live life to the fullest. Turn the midlife crisis into a midlife opportunity.

Fellow human extraordinaire Dr. Word Smith has been on a fantastic voyage through his time on the planet. He has graduated from the International Institute of Medical QiGong, was a competing Taekwondo martial artist, a yogi, and a translator of the Tibetan language among many other things.

Let's laugh it out! How much can we really take of the serious-itis that we suffer from in the world? What's the cosmic joke and how hard are they laughing at us? I'll pick up the phone and see what words of wisdom your ol' pal Bobby Mozzarini can shed on the situation.

  • MidLife Crisis Hotline: Jonathan McLeod

Welcome to the first ever MidLife Crisis Hotline!

Jonathan Mcleod is my first caller on the midlife crisis hotline. As of writing this, he is the same age as myself--43. He lived in Indonesia for a couple years and is currently back in the United States. If you would like to hear more from Jonathan, which i highly suggest, give a listen to the episode in which I interview him.

  • Ep. 32: Jonathan McLeod: Indonesian surfing, Vipassana Meditation, Technology Addiction & Recovery

I'm Baaaaack! Long time no listen. No podcast, no cry! I sit down with my buddy to discuss the rapid fire pace of our lives and some possible solutions/support to sloooooow things down. We also get into some fun 80's nerdage movie references. Plus alittle behind the scenes on some of the equipment I use for the gearheads out there.

Jonathan is a gifted photographer, educator, meditation practitioner and gentle fellow human being. Plus he took the photo for the podcast!

It is fun to be back. Look for more monthly episodes and the new mini series show coming up soooon! (Lots of long vowel usage this description)

  • Ep. 31: Andrew Jones: Jonesman table turner

Andrew Jones (Raccoon, Dr. Dog, Mitch Fiction & the Shits, Penn Law graduate) and I share some stories, and it looks like the tables have turned: he interviews me! We fill in the gaps, plaster the memory holes, and caulk the ol' days. Talk includes bonus life experiences during Dr. Dog early days, Raccoon, Unleash the Bastards and beyond. He digs up my reflections and time in Barnacle Wolf and the southern NJ punk/hardcore music scene mid to late 1990's. We bask in the glory of the last Dr Dog tour 2021. And most of all, we enjoy each other's company and have a really nice time chatting out in the beautiful winter sun.

  • Ep 30: Geoffrey Notkin: Garbage Pail Kid, Meteorite Man, & Handcrafting Human

What can I say about Geoffrey Notkin? Well, how about the fact he is a TV Host, Film Producer, 2 x Emmy Winner, CEO Aerolite Meteorites Inc., Governor National Space Society, Author, TEDx Speaker, and Asteroid 132904. And one of my favorite fun facts ever: He is a Garbage Pail Kid! Deaf Geoff to be precise. He was the inspiration for that iconic GPK card.

We moshed our way down some great avenues of his early life's journeys. For a snapshot of where we headed (and for those who want to choose their own adventure and jump to a random place in the show), we started off with his time growing up with his best friend Neil Gaiman and the punk scene in late 70's England to his time moving to early 80's NYC playing at CBGB's and studying/working under Art Spiegelman (the inventor of the Garbage Pail Kids) to our shared kinship in the importance and love of DIY and handcrafted art.
