On the issue of data centers, he tells Ali the companies behind them “must reduce electricity costs for residential customers, as well as small business customers.” On the border, he added Operation Lone Star is still active and will remain as they are still seeing people and drugs come into the country illegally, saying they’re now working with their federal counterparts to crack down on smuggling.

President Trump previously said the United States is “knocking the hell out of” the cartels and vowing to “go heavier” after declaring to carry out land strikes on drug cartels, in addition to a slew of boat strikes on alleged narco-terrorist vessels in the Caribbean. In this episode of "Bradley on the Border," Ali sat down with DEA Administrator Terry Cole to talk about how the administration is working to crack down on the cartels and stop the flow of drugs into the U.S.

The administrator is in Texas to tour the border area and meet with federal partners, and he details to Ali how they're working to fully staff the border. Cole reveals to Ali the DEA has agents embedded within the Department of War: "We have more embeds with the Department of War right now. Share intelligence. That is the mandate that the president has given us, and we will execute orders. That's what people need to understand."

On the heels of President Donald Trump saying zero people are crossing the border right now, NewsNation rode along exclusively with the Department of Public Safety in Texas as they conducted a joint operation with Border Patrol to go after those trying to evade arrest. In this episode of "Bradley on the Border," we see what immigration officials are up against in the Rio Grande Valley when it comes to human smuggling and stash houses, as well as tracking down the "got-aways."

Using live drone feeds, agents track a group of eight who crossed the river illegally, watching in real time as troopers and federal agents converge to cut off the group before they can load into a vehicle and disappear into Texas. An elaborate cross-border underground tunnel running from Tijuana to San Diego, and believed to be used to move cocaine and other contraband between Mexico and the United States, has been discovered by federal investigators. Prosecutors with the U.S. Attorney’s Office say the passageway wasn’t a dirt tunnel, but a well-lit passageway equipped with a ventilation system and an electronic rail track capable of moving cargo over the border.

Officials say that the tunnel may be an underground smuggling superhighway used by one of Mexico’s most powerful drug cartels to easily move massive amounts of illicit drugs and possibly humans and weapons across the southern border illegally. In this episode of "Bradley on the Border," Ali Bradley sits down with Robert Almonte, a former U.S. marshal and cartel specialist. He tells Bradley that the use of tunnels by Mexican drug cartels is nothing new and is just another way that those criminal organizations are working to remain one step ahead of federal law enforcement. “No matter what we do on the border, the Mexican cartels are not going away and that’s why we need to stay on their heels and not let them catch their breath,” Almonte said.
