Brain Candy with Jasmine and Rachel

We love Team StarKid and are excited to have a focused episode for talking about them.

*Contains spoilers for pretty much all of their shows

Clips have been included, so for the most fun listening experience, we recommend watching it on YouTube!

This video features clips from:

We've been teasing it since the beginning, but it's finally here: Fanfiction. Rachel and Jasmine talk their favorite fanfiction websites, topics, and tropes. It takes an unexpected turn later on that the pair are still laughing about.

We've been talking about this since our very first episode—and we've finally done it! Celebrate Stranger Things Day with the first installment of our Bookends Theatre segment: an unofficial, unauthorized fan reading of Stranger Things 3x06, "E Pluribus Unum."

**Disclaimer: All rights to the copyrighted material belong to the Duffer Brothers and Netflix. This reading is for fun and is not monetized. It's also not a sponsorship and has no ties to Netflix. We're just a group of people having fun and reading the script from a show we love!

This episode was modified somewhat for this reading. Modifications were made by Rachel Cash of The Bookends Pod. Special shoutout to whoever uploaded the episode's transcript to transcripts.fandom.com/wiki/Chapter_Six_E_Pluribus_Unum—it helped Rachel's editing process immensely!**

Many thanks to our lovely cast!

We love Halloween and are wishing you the spookiest (within your spooky limitations) Halloween! Next week is episode 10 and it will be the BIGGEST thing we've ever done!

We are talking all things fantasy! As YA fans, we couldn't hold off any longer in doing an episode dedicated to our favorite fantasy books (and our own writing experience).   New episodes every Friday! @thebookendspod on all socials!

We started with music and poetry but would up talking a lot about traveling and places we hope to see. It's an interesting episode, and at least half of it is on-topic.  Find our socials @thebookendspod everywhere!

This week we talk a lot about some classic lit that we've read, and our school experiences with them, as well as our early teenage reads that might not hold up all that well (Twilight included!).

We started out in a nice place--remembering our childhood--and then, for some reason, we talk a lot about horror. Not sure what we were thinking there. Either way, we hope you enjoy this weird episode and we will see you again next Friday!   Find us elsewhere: https://linktr.ee/TheBookendsPod

New episodes every Friday!

This episode is all about book design! (And some other things, too--including how difficult the words restaurant and vacuum are to spell).
