I brain dump about my experience with realizing I have been holding myself back in the gym lately, and the uncomfortable consequences that come with the regret of not doing the best of your ability. This doesn't just apply to our fitness, but in life in general. It is much more painful feeling like you could have done more, went harder, put more energy in, etc, than failing yet knowing you put in your 100%. In the moment it is hard to understand this and rewire our brain to embrace the struggle and challenge but in the end it is way more rewarding.

It's so easy to start a new chapter in life and fall into old habits or overwhelm yourself with the pressures of "what if" that end up not working out the way you thought. In this episode, we brain dump about what is means to slow down and dismiss the need to over achieve 24/7. Taking things one step at a time, day by day is really helpful when dealing with anxious or irrational thoughts about certain goals and situations in your life. It also is helpful in helping you stay present and learn to take note of the small joys that occur throughout your days. I brain dump about discovering what it means to really understand what your priorities are and how focusing on one at a time can be so productive in helping you stay consistent and grow.

In this book there are certain quotes and passages I found supper helpful and insightful that I wanted to brain dump about. We go over what it means to set boundaries, the power of struggle and rejection, how to use your thoughts to help improve your negative outlooks and habits, what to simply give a f**k about, etc. I totally recommend you read the whole book and that our discussion can help any struggle or hardship you may be having. Everyones relationship with fitness and health is completely personal, yet we all seem to have similar struggles and battles that we don't even know because we don't talk about them with each other. Social media highlights our best body image days and fitness accomplishments but tends to lack the mental battles and failures we endure along the way. In this episode I brain dump all my mental struggles when going through my fitness journey and how it has shaped my view on not only myself but the true importance of what it means to live a healthy lifestyle. I still have so much more to learn and failures to go through, but so far this is where my head is at in relation to fitness.
