In this episode we reflect on some of the quote's from the book, All Rhodes Lead Here by Mariana Zapata. We will brain dump about how these quotes can relate to our own experiances and how we can utilize them to help guide ourselves to where we want to go in our lives.
Have you been finding yourself in a slump or plateau lately? Are you finding yourself getting stuck in your comfort zone? In this episode we will strip back the fear of failure and change that is holding us back from getting stronger both mentally and physically. Sometimes we can be holding ourselves back from success and not even realize we are doing it! I brain dump about my experience with realizing I have been holding myself back in the gym lately, and the uncomfortable consequences that come with the regret of not doing the best of your ability. This doesn't just apply to our fitness, but in life in general. It is much more painful feeling like you could have done more, went harder, put more energy in, etc, than failing yet knowing you put in your 100%. In the moment it is hard to understand this and rewire our brain to embrace the struggle and challenge but in the end it is way more rewarding.
It's so easy to start a new chapter in life and fall into old habits or overwhelm yourself with the pressures of "what if" that end up not working out the way you thought. In this episode, we brain dump about what is means to slow down and dismiss the need to over achieve 24/7. Taking things one step at a time, day by day is really helpful when dealing with anxious or irrational thoughts about certain goals and situations in your life. It also is helpful in helping you stay present and learn to take note of the small joys that occur throughout your days. I brain dump about discovering what it means to really understand what your priorities are and how focusing on one at a time can be so productive in helping you stay consistent and grow.
In this episode we will be diving deep into self reflection with the help of Mark Manson, the author of the book "The Subtle Art of Not Giving A #@%!". In this book there are certain quotes and passages I found supper helpful and insightful that I wanted to brain dump about. We go over what it means to set boundaries, the power of struggle and rejection, how to use your thoughts to help improve your negative outlooks and habits, what to simply give a f**k about, etc. I totally recommend you read the whole book and that our discussion can help any struggle or hardship you may be having. You are not alone and we are all in this life thing together :)
Ever had a scary encounter? Felt like someone was watching you even when you were alone? In this episode we will brain dump about all things spooky and creepy. Ghost stories have always been such an interesting concept for me growing up from scary movies, tv shows, or exploring spooky places. Let's listen to encounters other people have had and see if they pass the creepy vibe. You might want to keep the lights on for this one...
Everyones relationship with fitness and health is completely personal, yet we all seem to have similar struggles and battles that we don't even know because we don't talk about them with each other. Social media highlights our best body image days and fitness accomplishments but tends to lack the mental battles and failures we endure along the way. In this episode I brain dump all my mental struggles when going through my fitness journey and how it has shaped my view on not only myself but the true importance of what it means to live a healthy lifestyle. I still have so much more to learn and failures to go through, but so far this is where my head is at in relation to fitness. I hope these experiences help you feel less alone and give a different perspective on how you can reflect on what fitness means to you :)
It can sometimes be confusing and frustrating when you are in a rut or harsh circumstance in your life that has seemed to last forever! We tend to get so caught up in our daily routine of life that we forget to take a moment and look at where we are and where we are headed. Our lives change much like the seasons and in this episode we will brain dump about what each season can look like for you in your life and how it is apart of our journey. Taking time to establish what season you might be in can maybe provide some hope and comfort as to what you can learn or take away from it. Each season has beauty but also ugly, much like our life's journey. Understanding how its vital to undergo these seasons of change in our lives has given me and hopefully will give you an extra bit of hope and comfort :)
We all have dreams whether they are super inspiring or nightmares we can't wait to forget. Some of us might not ever remember our dreams. Whatever your experience, wouldn't it be cool to know the meaning behind the dreams you have? In this episode we will brain dump about the different types of dreams people have and what they can symbolize in your current life. Your interpretation is up to you, but maybe there is a purpose behind why we are experiencing the types of dreams we do. Let us dive deep and reflect on our most internal thoughts. Happy dreaming :)
In this episode we brain dump about what it is we think our purpose in life is. Do we have multiple purposes? How do we find our purpose? Let's dig deep and have a conversation about what having purpose truly means :)
Remember all the fun gadgets, stores, trends, books, music, and television that we all loved as a kid?
